Willow Creek Leadership Summit Aug. 7-8, 2008

Now, more than ever, God-honoring, integrity-based leadership is in demand. The Willow Creek Leadership Summit is helping meet that demand by identifying integrity-filled leaders and equipping them with the biblically–based skills and confidence to lead their churches, businesses, communities, and homes in the 21st century. Presented by the Willow Creek Association, a worldwide interdenominational network of more than 12,000 churches worldwide, The Leadership Summit is designed for pastors, business and community leaders, board members, elders, church staff, ministry leaders, volunteer leaders, students, emerging leaders, and those who would like to improve their leadership skills.

Some 100,000 church and business leaders are expected at conference sites in more than 200 locations around the world, where talks from world-class leadership experts will be beamed live via satellite. Ten churches will host The Leadership Summit in the Greater New York City region.

Featured leadership experts at The Leadership Summit 2008 include:

BILL HYBELS – Senior pastor of Willow Creek Community Church and chairman of the Willow Creek Association.

BRAD ANDERSON – Vice-chairman and CEO for Best Buy, Anderson champions the development of leaders in the belief that constant innovation is required to enhance a customer’s experience.

JOHN BURKE – Lead pastor at Gateway Community Church.

CHUCK COLSON – Colson is the founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries.

BILL GEORGE – Professor of management practice at Harvard Business School.

CRAIG GROESCHEL – Founding and senior pastor of LifeChurch.tv. He has authored three books including Confessions of a Pastor.

GARY HAUGEN – Haugen serves as president of International Justice Mission, an agency that rescues victims of violence, exploitation, slavery, and oppression.

WENDY KOPP – Kopp is the founder and CEO of Teach For America, a program to recruit college graduates to teach in America's neediest schools.

CATHERINE ROHR – Founder and CEO of Prison Entrepreneurship Program. This one-of-a-kind program has seen a 98% employment rate from its 300 graduates.

EFREM SMITH – Pastor of The Sanctuary Covenant Church. He is the author of Raising Up Young Heroes.

The Leadership Summit is facilitated locally by The NYC Leadership Center and Concerts of Prayer Greater NY.
