Recent studies confirm that we as pastors and leaders are confronting a crisis: people’s lives are not being profoundly transformed in our churches. Moreover, many of us in pastoral leadership are running on empty, neglecting our own inner life with God.
This led Pete Scazzero, founder & senior pastor of New Life Fellowship Church in Queens, New York for the last 25 years in an incredible journey with Christ. On May 3rd-4th, 2012, Pete & Geri Scazzero will be offering an international leader’s conference, Emotionally Healthy Leadership Conference, at New Life Fellowship Church 82-10 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, Queens, NY. This conference is designed for church leaders eager to lead differently, ready to integrate two missing components in today’s church – emotional health & contemplative spirituality. This large spiritual formation problem will be addressed by looking at this revolutionary, far-reaching paradigm and mapping out a three to five year journey to transform our churches.
The goal of this conference is to equip each pastor/leader to begin the journey so that:
1. He/she serves out of deep interior life with Jesus, a cup that overflows. (Our work for Jesus is sustained by a life with Jesus).
2. He/she becomes an emotionally mature adult who can contribute to creating a healthy church culture.
3. He/she is equipped to have a growing, dynamic marriage and/or singleness that reflects our marriage to Christ.

Examples of this include: integrating EH Skills for staff meetings and relationships, adding new staff and saying healthy “good byes”, helping people craft a personal Rule of Life, looking at membership implications, programming, priorities, impact on strategic planning/staffing, and integrating a theology of work).
