Testings, Trials & Tribulations

By Edith M. Stranges, Editor/Publisher

I’ve heard and seen many pastors and ministries throughout the Tri-State area becoming discouraged in the last year and a half. Many churches have closed down and pastors have become sick and have given up because of the relentless pressure of; finances, to prove their IRS tax exempt status annually, a ban to stop nativity scenes and christmas trees, churches who used schools no longer can rent those facilities for Sunday worship, same sex marriage legalized, and regulations on pregnancy crisis center, and the list goes on.

Here we are, Americans who cannot worship God in their freedom from the Constitution. What do we do? Pray, fast and have joy.

Who would ever believed that we the Body of Christ would be seeing ourselves in such a state of confusion and doubt. God has called leaders to hold up the banner of Jesus Christ before the world and the unsaved. God will cause us to triumph and He will cause us to humble ourselves and seek the Lord. He will give us clarity for the direction He has set before us.

Can we get through these trials with joy on our faces and singing in our hearts. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. Come on Satan, we’re ready for you. We are troubled on all sides, yet not cast down. (2 Corinthians 4:1)

We must stand together, as a corporate family in this fight that we are fighting. We must seek the Lord.

The following is an excerpt from an article by Dr. Paul de Vries. Moral Matters Because Moral Matter.

Our morals matter, because they shape policy choices and are shaped by them. In the old days, people would discourage you from commenting on religion or politics. However, these too are moral matters, and they need to be spoken, examined, understood and compared.

“Moral Matters” is a priority, because you and I matter - along with our priorities.
