Bridge to Recovery Reclaims Grounds Of Jefferson Park! The 2010 Concert in the Park will return to Jefferson Park in, Elizabeth NJ. Saturday, August 21, 10:30am-5:30pm, Jefferson Ave., bet. Mary & Anna Streets. This park location in a neighborhood plagued by drugs and violence, will become sacred ground as we proclaim the message of fredom in recovery empowered by God! This event is sponsored by The Union County Bridge to Recovery and produced by Calvary Tabernacle and Overcomers Outreach Recovery Groups. Returning this year Free Health Fair: HiV/Aids Testing, Blood Pressure Test, Diabetes Test, Cancer Testing, Crisis Pregnancy Counseling, Addiction Counseling Referrals, Detox Referrals/Placement, Addiction Prevention Education, Manicures and Facials, Eye Exams, Dental Exams and more. Live Music: First Baptist Church Choir, Breakin’ the Bondage “Blues Band” G.I.F.T. Because of the present economy some items are still needed such as canopies, volunteers to set-up those canopies the morning of the event, clean-up, security, food servers, and possibly an abundance of volunteer hands to help erect a large circus tent (Friday, August 20th the day before the event). There are plenty of opportunities to serve in many areas as listed in the “Overcomers News” letter, so please call to sign up. Generous financial donations are also needed.
