Paula Exhem was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in St. Albans Queens. Her father was a spirit filled Pastor at the Mt. Olive COGIC in Jamaica, NY. Her mother is an Evangelist who along with her father taught her about Jesus and His love for her. Paula has 3 sisters and 1 brother who are all born again. At a young age, Paula's father taught her and her sisters and brother how to sing for the Lord. Her father formed a group called the Pearly Gates and they went around to different churches and events singing for the Lord.

As an adult, Paula backslid for years, going to church every so often. She eventually came back to the church and rededicated her life to Christ and has been singing for the Lord ever since. Paula lives in New York and has 1 daughter. Paula attends Highland Church in Jamaica, Queens, where she sings with the Praise Team and the Choir.
